During phase one of this programme, DuPont identified over 60 global functional and divisional leaders who had the potential for bigger roles. In partnership with DuPont we developed a two stage leadership programme.
Stage 1: Discovery: why should anyone be led by you? A 5 day workshop founded on coaching pairs and small group dialogue: what do I need to 'let go of' and what do I need to embrace, to make a bigger difference?
Stage 2: Action learning. A 5 day workshop working on an Executive sponsored project. Participants were supported in small groups of 6 with a Facilitator. And as they worked on the strategic project, they managed three dynamics:
This was a landmark programme in a few ways: first in using live business projects to get under-the-skin of leadership. In truth if participants could not role model our leadership behaviours and ways of working on this programme - they'd be even less likely to do so 'out-in-the-business'. Second the opportunity for peers to co-coach and establish trust-based relationships - would ensure they would role model this with their own teams. Sukhwant and his team tailored the approach to our business needs and our culture. They partnered with us, every step of the way. And brought to life the power of psychology in creating greater self-awareness and be the change you want to see.
